SERVICES

Emma Guy Architect is a registered architect and undertakes all architectural commissions from small alterations of £10,000 of construction value, up to new build projects of over £1M. Emma is an expert at helping clients realise the potential of their homes and works closely with them as they develop their brief and discuss initial proposals. Emma is able to provide advice and services from the initial enquiry right the way through the construction process to the completion of the works dependant on clients needs.

The process always starts with a visit to the client’s house and an informal discussion about what might be possible. This is free of charge. If after that visit the clients would like to work with Emma then she normally produces some sketch proposals and meets the clients to discuss those on a time charge basis. If the clients want to proceed, the next stage is to prepare drawings and reports suitable for use as part of the planning process. Exactly what is required depends on the site and the proposals. When the planning process is complete Emma can prepare information to tell builders what to price and this usually can double up as the documents that is needed to demonstrate compliance with the Building Regulations. Emma can manage this process and can also help with the process. If the client chooses to proceed to construction Emma is on hand to provide advice and to inspect the works during construction as much or as little as the client would like.

Emma regularly collaborates with a number of consultants from other parts of the building industry including planning consultants, ecologists, engineers, heritage consultants, builders, suppliers and landscapers. She can lead whatever team is appropriate for any particular project to provide the client with a single point of contact if they wish.

Emma carries Professional Indemnity Insurance and is not VAT registered.
